Monday marked my second week back to work and I'm slowly starting to get into the groove of things. I'm so thankful that I work close to home and can come home on my lunch break. When I'm at work it's all fengugreek and lots of fluids to try and keep my supply up. It's been really interesting to see how my home life and work life intertwine now.
That night we had artichoke and turkey stuffed pasta for dinner and since so many people asked for the recipe, I've linked to it here. FYI - I used regular jarred tomato sauce rather than making arrabbiata sauce from scratch and it was still super yummy.
Tuesday was another delicious dinner - thanks to Kris! Kris isn't much of a cook so he was pretty excited about this chilli. Before we could eat he demanded I take a picture for the blog.
Wednesday I worked from home, which is a nice treat for me because I can nurse Kale to sleep for his naps and steal some extra cuddles. It's not the best treat for Kris though since I seem to throw their schedule off when I'm around.
Kris normally goes to the gym after Kale and I go to the sleep for the night, but he stuck around Wednesday night, we drank some wine and held hands during Modern Family. This counts as a special night around here these days.
Thursday was another work from home day so I got to spend a few extra minutes in bed in the morning. There is a shot of my work space at home. It's a disaster.
Thursday night I had to go into the office to do some printing and then pick up some snacks for a Friday morning meeting. I was super unimpressed to be going out in the cold at 8pm. I was even more unimpressed when I got to work and discovered that while I was working from home, someone was raiding my chocolate bowl at the office!
Friday morning I had a meeting at City Hall, which led to me pumping in some strange places.
I ended the work week by 2pm and came home to find Kale with his new favourite toy - papa's toothbrush.
I was soooo tired last night. Apparnetly Kale was too.
Papa's persepective was pretty popular last week, so I've asked Kris to share some pics he took this week and provide his commentary again!
On the left we have Kale playing with two of his many balls. He loves to chase after them and, when he can, pick them up. For his entertainment I hauled an exrta ball out of the soccer bag and let him hussle around the house after it.It seems like more often than not, Randalin is hollaring "no balls in the house!" as we play. The cat chases them (awesome) Kale chases them (awesome) Who wouldn't want balls in the house?!?!
I like to watch Kale eat.
And, in the final shot, hes riding around in the sling, munching on my former toothbrush (it was in active duty till he caught sight of it). When Randalin isn't home and Kale and I are running our routine, we can normally get 2 hours of entertainment followed by a third hour where Kale is harder to entertain and slowly drifting towards miserable. When he starts to get sassy, I put him into the sling and do chores. He loves watching and touching things and forgets he's due for a nap! More often than not he falls asleep in the sling, which is awesome, but once he's down theres no moving him elsewhere, which means i browse the internet with a sweaty sleepy baby strapped to my chest trying not to wake him up.

"we held hands during modern family." yet another reason I heart you!
ReplyDelete"before we could eat he demanded i take a picture for the blog." AWESOME.
